I liked this latest installment in the series. I found it a bit slow at the start, but as soon as Lisbeth shows up, naturally the intensity increases. I didn't know what to expect from Mr. Lagercrantz but I felt he was true to the characters and if he keeps writing I'll keep reading.

Review: Asylum: A Mystery

I grabbed this off the library shelf only because of the cover and title, with no prior knowledge of the book or the author. I really enjoyed this disturbing little novel. It is not a true story but elements of the story are from actual events that happened in Montrèal. A shameful piece of Canadian history. I will be looking for more novels from this author.
3-1/2 bumped to 4 stars.
